Our brother John Doe is sick,
and we want to ask You to raise John up.
We need him among us for his leadership,
professionalism, and his friendship.
But Lord, James 5:16 sounds conditional on our righteousness.
Let us not seem right in our own eyes.
Let us remember that true righteousness comes from faith.
Give us faith Lord;
Faith in the finished work of Jesus' sacrifice for our sins;
Faith in the spilled Blood of your Son
which covers us in the white robe of righteousness you see over us;
Faith that you hear our prayer and answer.
Thank you for healing Lord.
We praise you in the name of Jesus.
James 5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: James 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he hath committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. James 5:18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit. Romans 4:3 Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
